Pablo Jimenez-Moreno and Waseem Albahri are Bristol-based musicians working across contemporary classical, ambient, drone, and experimental music. Having played together for over ten years through solo projects, AWE, Rah!, and The Weird Outsiders, they use improvisation as a core element of their practice. With backgrounds in architecture, they are interested in how music can create experiences of minimalism, space, and emotional intensity.
Alice Lacey
Clevedon Bandstand
18:00
Alice Lacey is a classically trained pianist and vocalist known for her multi-faceted vocal arrangements and post-modern piano compositions. Her work blends classical technique with avant-garde influences and poetry creating a unique, kinetic, sound that challenges traditional boundaries. Alice’s debut album, released through Human Worth in early 24’, showcases her innovative approach to music.
“Perhaps because she’s been doing this for a lot longer than the arrival of a debut would imply, Alice’s accomplishment as both a musician and a composer shine through every moment of this spellbinding collection of songs”(Christopher Nosnibor, Aural Aggravation).

Clevedon Sings!
Alexandra Gardens
12:00 – 13:00
A community singing group rather than a “choir”, who meet simply to enjoy singing together and all the benefits that brings, and have all found that singing together improves their mood and sense of well being. They are a really welcoming and friendly group and anyone is welcome to join at any time. They usually sing something new each week unless they really like it, so, popping in and out around busy life commitments works really well. There are no auditions or entry requirements – all that’s needed is your enthusiasm and willingness to share in the joy.
Jeremy Johnson
The Fallen Tree
13:00 – 14:00
With a voice described by Americana UK as ‘Superb… distinctive and interesting’, musicianship described by A&R Factory as ‘One of the most beautifully poised, tentative guitar progressions I’ve heard in a long time’ and songwriting described by Fresh on The Net as ‘A little slice of heaven’, recent years have cemented Jeremy Johnson as an internationally recognised and sought-after singer-songwriter, producer and performer. Jeremy’s recent releases underline the songsmith’s unwavering commitment to a uniquely nuanced, literate and melodic fusion of folk, pop and soul.

Mike Besseling
Fawn Coffee
14:30 – 15:30
As a solo artist, Mike manages to combine vocals & guitar playing with using a foot drum & simple loop pedal to create a bigger band like sound.
Gitano
Scarlett’s
16:00 – 18:00
Gitano were formed from a partership of Damian Pope and Graham Nicholls, originally jamming together as an acoustic duo. In around 1998 Damian was co running an acoustic club in Clevedon, a weekly performance session to help get players used to performing publicly, as well as gigging musicians road testing new material. During one of these Graham attended and played, and following this they discovered that they had a shared love of Gypsy Jazz music. Next they bought Gypsy Jazz style guitars and put together the start of a set, weaving in a few songs and jazz standards. Graham had been gigging with Charlie Rose, and from there Gitano was born.

Ilya
Kaballa
18:30 – 19:30
Ilya Reunion Gig – Original Line-Up Returns
This special reunion concert brings together the original members of Ilya, the acclaimed band signed to Virgin Records and Chrysalis Music in 2002. Dan Brown, Nick Pullin, and Joanna Swan will revisit songs from their celebrated album They Died For Beauty, alongside new and previously unheard material written during the band’s early years.
This won’t be a loud or flashy show. Instead, expect an hour of beautiful songs, stories, memories, and the rare experience of hearing music created across decades by old friends reconnecting through their art. With Joanna’s rich, soulful vocals at the forefront, audiences can expect echoes of Scott Walker and Nina Simone, woven together with sweeping harmonies reminiscent of The Beach Boys.
We’d love you to join us at 6.30pm for this unique reunion and share in a very special chapter of the Ilya story. The performance will start shortly afterwards.
Closing Party
